1. Use of crops and varieties that are tolerant to disasters and hazards: These types of crops and varieties are used for climate-friendly agriculture as they can produce even in times of drought, waterlogging, and pest infestation.
2. SRI technology is a climate-friendly technology in terms of both adaptation and mitigation, as it improves the development of rice roots, tolerates drought, uses more organic fertilizers, and uses less water, reducing gas emissions.
3. Use of green manure: It is a climate-friendly technology in terms of both adaptation and mitigation, as it helps to adapt to challenges such as drought and soil erosion and also reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
4. Organic farming: Adopting this method can help in climate adaptation and mitigation, as well as sustainably increasing the productivity of the agricultural system.
5. Crop diversification reduces the risk of diseases, pests, and weeds in the agricultural system. The increased agricultural biodiversity protects the agricultural system from floods, landslides, droughts, and windstorms, helping it adapt, and helps in reducing the loss of nutrients in the soil.
Conclusion: For the successful implementation of these technologies and practices, it is necessary to mobilize local resources, build the capacity of local farming communities and stakeholders regarding climate-friendly agriculture, and implement appropriate technologies in an integrated manner.
