About GSAF
Graduate School of Agriculture and Forestry (GSAF) was established from the academic session of the financial year 2078/79 under Mid-West University. The location of GSAF is Bheriganga-11, Ramghat in Surkhet district, 28 km away from Birendranagar city of Surkhet. There are 132 bigha of land under this campus. The grant was jointly signed by Bheriganga Municipality and Lekbesi Municipality for the college. The building of TU was handed over to MU by Bheriganga Municipality rather than the university’s own building.
This is the first university in Nepal to teach organic agriculture in the B.Sc Agriculture program. (1+2) credit courses are designed in this university syllabus, whereas other universities have (2+1) credit hour courses. It is also the first university in Asia to design (1+2) credit hour courses. There are 48 seats in the Agriculture faculty, out of which 6 seats are for scholarship and 42 seats are for full-paying students.

First, second, and third batches are running. The total number of students is 182, including all semesters in the B.Sc Ag program.
